Tutoring Approach:
It is important to design the tutoring around the needs of the student. At the same time, the program must be robust enough to stretch and motivate the learner by keeping them invested in their own learning. Regular testing both in class and independent study is expected. The pace of learning is adaptable rather than flexible as certain levels of achievement is required to ensure the student's stated targets are met.
The teaching environment whether one-to-one or a small group is relaxed, serving to encourage participation. As regular attendance serves the learner and teacher best, it is important that agreed timetables are maintained (with missed classed undertaken in the student's time to ensure targets are not affected to the best of both learner and student. Lessons are well supported both through conversations and paper lessons. I am endlessly patient and every question is answered, every confusion clarified, every error reviewed until the points being learnt is assimilated.
