Personal Description:

I'm Lanisa, and I'm an experienced tutor with plenty of strategies I've used with students over the years to help them make progress regardless of their learning modality. I have a strong interest in educational leadership and a strong commitment to teaching, and I'm planning to pursue an education doctorate. Whether you're looking for a chemistry tutor or assistance with biology and other science subjects, I am ready to help.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over ten years of experience as an educator, and I've worked with a vast array of students across diverse socioeconomic and academic backgrounds. I'm a strong leader thanks to my experience and my EdS in Educational Leadership. I also have a bachelor's degree in Biology.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every student is capable of learning, but they need their own motivation and an educator who can engage them in learning. My plan as a tutor is to get to know my student and what their strengths and opportunities are so I can work from there to build up their independence as a student, scaffolding learning while increasing the complexity and decreasing the amount of hands-on support needed as the student progresses.
