Personal Description:

I am an English tutor who loves working with children because their natural love and excitement for learning new things is contagious. I believe in the importance of carefully determining each child's strengths and using those strengths in my instruction to help them feel confident. I also have a special passion for focusing on reading and writing skills with my students.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently working as a pre-k teacher at a private school, so I am most comfortable working with young children. I can help students with anything from basic grammar to syntax and sentence structure. My educational background also includes declaring a major in education so that I can continue to develop my teaching skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every child can succeed; you just have to find the right approach for each student. If something is not working, I find a different way to teach that student until they understand the concept. I always use the first session to connect with my students as people and give them some sample questions to have a better understanding of their abilities.
