Personal Description:

My name is Kyleigh . I am a recent Kinesiology graduate from the University of Western Ontario. My strongest trait is being able to listen to how people succeed and adapt to various situations. I am very personable and kind which helps people connect with me easily. I finished university with a 3.8 GPA but hard to work extremely hard to get there, therefore, I have experience with failure and am able to help individuals find strategies that work best for them.

Tutoring Experience:

This would be my first time teaching sciences. However, I grew up teaching horseback riding so I have experience in teaching concepts. I have strong communication skills and patience which allows me calmly explain concepts in various ways until they are understood. Throughout my university career, I was often the go to of my friends when explaining concepts that were unclear. I am very good at making analogies to help put the subject into better understanable situations.

Tutoring Approach:

Student first. At the end of the day, if the student isn't learning from me then the tutoring is not effective. I work with the student to see what their goal for the session is, how they learn best, what they understand and what they do not understand. I want to ensure that the student feels accomplished at the end of the session which means they are happy with the goals they accomplished and feel they are learning the way they do best.
