Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Kimberly and I'm an elementary school teacher and English tutor. I work with regular and special education students in achieving their learning goals and becoming more self-confident. I can teach up to college-level English as well as phonics, reading, writing, and other subjects as well as provide homework support and help preparing for tests.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a bachelor's in childhood education and a master's in literacy and students with disabilities. I'm a certified elementary school teacher and have taught 2nd, 5th, and 5th grade special education for seven years. As a teacher, I enjoy every day of my job and the passion of helping my students learn.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning is an ongoing process and I try to bring purpose to it. I support independent learning through building a student's knowledge base and scaffolding their learning. This involves supporting their pursuits while pulling back and letting them learn independently.
