Personal Description:
I am a certified Teacher. I am a full-time Elementary teacher with over 22 years of experience. I have my Special Education Specialist and I am certified to teach English as a Second Language, Math, and all Elementary subjects except French. I have experience teaching Grades 4 to 7, Kindergarten as well as ESL and Special Education.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 3 years of tutoring experience. I have been a certified teacher for over 22 years teaching all grades and I taught English in Colombia, South America for two years.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is the same as my approach to teaching. I teach my students how to think critically, how to be independent and to take chances in their learning. I make learning fun, I believe that children learn more if they are engaged and interested in what they are studying. At the same time I teach the basics and then teach them how to apply the new concepts to other areas of learning.
