Personal Description:

I am a math tutor who wants my students to enjoy learning. I've got a lot of energy when it comes to tutoring, which makes my sessions more engaging, and I pay close attention to my students so that I can better understand how I can help them. I have a tremendous passion for educating others, and it is very satisfying for me when I can finally help someone grasp a core concept they have been struggling with.

Tutoring Experience:

I've got a considerable background in teaching and tutoring others. This includes a two-and-a-half-year stint at a university where I instructed courses on nutrition and wellness. Even as a student I would take a leadership role in study groups, helping to organize and bring the other students up to speed.

Tutoring Approach:

For me, an important part of tutoring is observation. I want to find out where my student is at so that I can prepare material that is on point and directly suited to their educational needs. I love to use humor to make people more comfortable with the learning process, which can be daunting at the start for some. And I like to encourage independent and creative thought in my students because learning is an active process and not just about rote memorization.
