Personal Description:

I enjoy working with students to build their writing skills, whether they need guidance in producing analytical papers, editing their college essays, or preparing for the SAT in Writing. I strive to help students find their voice through English tutoring. I can guide students in building solid writing skills that they can take into any subject.

Tutoring Experience:

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I received the best thesis award for my senior thesis in both fields of study. In college, I served as a teaching assistant and writing tutor. I worked with college and high school-age students, which introduced me to 1-on-1 tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I use a reflective tutoring model to approach tutoring in a way that aligns with the individual student. I get to know their communication style, goals, skill level, and other qualities to find ways to better impact their progress. I encourage students to self-reflect, ask questions, and set intentions throughout each session.
