Personal Description:

Building rapport with students and fostering engagement and intellectual development are all key components of art education and are what I bring to each session as an art tutor. I love helping students understand new concepts and discover new solutions by providing the academic support they need to become independent learners.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in piano and my graduate degree in teaching and learning. I additionally received my Artist Instructor certification. I've been teaching for twelve years in both middle school and high school settings and I've tutored students in a wide variety of subject areas.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that students tend to learn more effectively when they are given proper encouragement. Unfortunately, many students have more experience with negative consequences, which can make them more resistant to the learning process. When working with a student, it is my goal to strengthen their self-confidence while also increasing their understanding the subject.
