Personal Description:
I'm a biology student in a guaranteed admissions medical track program, but I'm also a chemistry tutor. While I am preparing myself to become a physician one day, I have a passion for teaching. Ultimately, I want to teach medical students and other faculty as a doctor in the future.
Tutoring Experience:
I have two years of prior tutoring experience at the high school level, from science coursework and test prep to a range of other subjects. I also teach health education curriculum to 9th-grade students through a volunteer organization. When we study subjects like chemistry together, I know how to work at the student's pace and follow their lead.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to make sessions interactive so students can better engage with the material, whether using real-world examples or just using good communication so I can gauge how my student is doing. I focus on staying positive and acting as a guide, building comfort with my student so we can work together to improve their skills in the most effective way possible.
