Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Josh and I am a math tutor. I believe my passion for mathematics and love of learning can be contagious and it is my hope that I can share this with students. I've refined my teaching style over the years by taking note of what methods were most effective for students.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate and two graduate degrees in the field of mathematics. In addition to maintaining at least a 3.9 GPA for all of my degrees, I was also named the top math major from my university when I earned my undergraduate degree. I've taught mathematics at two universities and I've tutored math and physics for more than twenty years.

Tutoring Approach:

It isn't enough to be knowledgeable about a subject, it's also important for a tutor to break individual concepts down into manageable pieces. I genuinely care about my students and am willing to invest the emotional energy necessary to help them succeed.
