Personal Description:
I love working in 1-on-1 settings because it allows me to be patient with each student I tutor. I studied economics and finance as an undergraduate and found that I was comfortable with both the mathematical and conceptual areas. I can teach a multitude of subjects, including high school and college economics, finance, general business courses, introductory statistics, and social sciences such as psychology.
Tutoring Experience:
I was a graduate teaching fellow, gaining valuable teaching experience grading upper-level exams, lecturing undergraduates, and tutoring students of all levels outside of class hours. I've been teaching ever since (nearly three decades now), so I know that I can be an effective economics tutor. I also bring broad professional experience to the table, allowing me to relate abstract concepts to real-world applications.
Tutoring Approach:
I dissect learning obstacles using a step-by-step approach to determine exactly where the disconnect is, then I provide targeted instruction to address that issue. Eventually, my student will have a breakthrough in any subject this way.
