Personal Description:

As a chemistry tutor, I believe science provides us with a chance to learn about the world. The scientific method allows us to explore various problems, and using deductive and inductive reasoning helps too. I look forward to helping students learn about scientific phenomena in a one-on-one setting where they can feel free to express concerns and ask questions.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned a bachelor's degree in general biology and a master's degree in science. My academic experience and drive to help others learn provides me with the tools to help you understand fundamental concepts and complex topics in a welcoming learning environment.

Tutoring Approach:

I start each lesson by getting the student's attention with something interesting they can relate to. From there, I move into teaching the concept. The student always has an opportunity to ask questions. I provide essential questions as well, structured to stimulate the thought process so they can process the subject matter more deeply.
