Personal Description:
I am from the UK and moved to Montreal to study a PhD in mathematics at UdeM. My research focuses on areas within geometry and topology, in particular, Homological Mirror Symmetry and Symplectic Geometry. I completed my Masters at the University of Edinburgh in 2020 where I also did my undergraduate studies.
I am available to teach all areas of Highschool level maths, for University Undergraduate level I am available to tutor in most topics of pure maths, including the following:
Geometry (Differential, Algebraic)
Topology (General, Algebraic)
Algebra (Linear, Abstract, Category Theory)
Analysis (Calculus, Real, Complex, PDEs)
Mathematical Physics (Dynamics, Vector Calculus)
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience teaching all ages, from aged 9 to adult (30+). I have experience tutoring in both University and High School Level materials, and have had excellent results in the past. I have also been employed as a Teaching assistant for university classes as well a teaching assistant in a primary school.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to work with my students, see what they need and explain how and why things work rather than just showing how to find the answer. I find this helps students gain a deeper understanding of the subject and developed problem solving skills, which helps them maintain the knowledge past the end of their course.
