Personal Description:

Joanne is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Julia in the award-winning musical short film The Perfect Life (2019), which screened at TIFF Bell Lightbox as part of their festival The 48, A 6-Year Retrospective. She was recently seen in a cover feature of The Uniter (Vol 74, Issue 23), speaking candidly of her experiences working in the industry and identifying as an Artist of Colour.

Tutoring Experience:

With over 10 years of teaching experience behind her, Joanne prides herself on making her classroom feel like a second home. Students are regularly seen competing at the Winnipeg Music Festival and have gone on to win scholarships and awards, as well as move onto professional work.

Tutoring Approach:

The focus is to produce well-rounded artists, whether recreational or professional, celebrating strengths a well as working on weaknesses. Lessons are tailored to each student but in general include: theory, sight reading, technique, and repertoire.
