Personal Description:

I am a CELTA and TESL-Canada certified English language teacher at an award-winning international language school in Toronto, Canada.

I am passionate about empowering students through meaningful storytelling, listening & teaching.

I love teaching English and ESL because I love languages and I also want to help people grow. I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I am currently learning Spanish and Arabic.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience working with students from all over the world and from many different walks of life.

Some of my students are adult professionals (lawyers, doctors, professors, and engineers), others are university or college students. I have worked with students in high school as well as elementary students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a communicative approach to learning languages. I want to understand my learners' motivations for learning English and help them achieve their objectives, goals, and dreams.

Anything can be achieved with a positive mindset and effective methods.

My mother taught me something that I live by, "there are no bad students, only bad teachers."
