Personal Description:

Hi! I’m a life-long learner and teacher with a passion for words. Everyone has a unique voice, and with my help you can begin writing and speaking with style and ease.

I’m a world traveler happy to call the most diverse city in the world home. I’m passionate about languages and cultures, bilingual in French and English, and have a basic knowledge of Persian.

I have an Honors B.A. in English and Creative Writing, and a TEFL Certification from OISE.

Tutoring Experience:

I have fifteen years of teaching experience in a wide range of contexts. I recently decided to return to my passion and obtained my TEFL Certification to deepen my understanding of second language acquisition. I have relevant skills and experience in:

Teaching English as a Second Language (independent instructor, in Japan, Australia, and Canada.)

IELTS and TOEFL preparation

Teaching Academic Writing to undergraduates (i.e. Teaching Assistant)

Academic Editor for Theses and Dissertations

Adult Education, teaching literacy and basic skills

More recently I worked training and mentoring brand ambassadors in corporate retail sales.
