Personal Description:

I am a physics tutor who approaches teaching intending to have students leave each session feeling like they've accomplished something while deepening their understanding of the material. I can tutor all physics courses plus the fundamental mathematics that you need in many physics classes, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Algebra 3/4, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and Differential Equations. I'm looking forward to helping you pursue your goals.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in September 2015. I got the opportunity to teach a few lab courses for the Physics Department there corresponding to General Physics I and II, so I have demonstrable experience teaching physics concepts as well.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring physics emphasizes conceptual understanding over rote memorization. It's easy enough to memorize the basic formula for area and plug in whatever numbers you're given, but upper-level STEM courses are far too complex for that approach to result in good grades.
