Personal Description:

If you are looking for a history tutor with a proven track record of excellence in the classroom, I am here to work with you. I tutor students whose ages range from middle school to college-aged. The subjects I cover include World History and American History (high school and college level), AP U.S. Government & Politics, and European History, among others.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a BA in History and a Master's degree in History. After college, I taught history and social studies (along with other subjects) at the middle school level for ten years, and during that time my students often out-performed other state schools on their standardized exams.

Tutoring Approach:

Variety is the spice of life, and, I think, it's also essential to effective teaching. I try to use a lot of different activities with students, and this helps not only to break up monotony, but also ensures that I am effectively teaching to students with diverse learning styles.
