Personal Description:

I help students of all ages and academic abilities work towards their educational goals as a study skills and essay writing tutor. Learning to study and write effectively is the foundation for all core subjects and the specializations to which each leads. I also help students prepare for standardized exams such as the ISEE, SAT, PSAT, and GRE.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in drama with a minor in education and my graduate degree in linguistics. I've tutored and taught students of all ages and abilities, and I particularly enjoy working with students who have learning disabilities and ESL students.

Tutoring Approach:

I start my work with a student by asking about their extracurricular and academic interests so that I have the guidance I need to create an effective learning plan. I help students draw connections between concepts while teaching study skills and encouraging them to take ownership of their academic future.
