Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Tutor Iris and I am excited to meet you! I live in a small town located in Alberta, Canada. I am a passionate person who truly love teaching. I graduated from University of Toronto with Honours Bachelor of Science and currently completing my Master of Animal Science with University of Saskatchewan. I have been teaching over 10 years, from doing science experiments across school board to teaching ESL programs. It brighten my day watching students master new skills and grow confidence. My goal is to ensure my students enjoy learning and feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of their lesson. Outside the classroom, I am an animal and outdoor enthusiast. I love camping with my dog and parrots, hiking at the mountains and taking care of my vegetable garden. I also love my job as a research scientist, feel free to ask me more during our meeting :)

10 years tutoring experience for secondary school subjects - specialized in math and sciences
3 years ESL teaching experience for local and oversea students from age 5 to 60

I focus on ensuring the students are comfortable and have a positive learning experience. My years of experience had taught me, stress can greatly impact your learning outcome. You can expect me to be helpful and positive at all time :) I will guide students through positive encouragement and patient explanations. I also accommodate different types of learner, using a diverse of examples and visual / verbal cues.
