Personal Description:
I am a MSc student in Physics at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby campus. Originally from La Paz, Bolivia, I have been studying physics since 2012 and I love it! Any Science course is always fascinating, and there is no worse feeling than not understanding. Luckily we can work it out together!
Tutoring Experience:
PHYS 243 - Numerical Calculus and Programming. Department of Physics, UMSA
PHYS 132 - Physics Laboratory. Department of Physics, SFU.
PHYS 120 - Mechanics and Modern Physics. Department of Physics, SFU.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in active learning, which is a method that forces one to take action and apply what was learned while it is fresh in the memory. I like to help my students by helping them to get the big picture of the topic at hand. Then help them in understand the theory that was developed to attack the problems and lastly, do actual problems to apply what was explained. On this last step, I prefer to let the students figure out their strategy and keep track of their progress.
