Personal Description:

I graduated with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Western University last year and studied for my undergraduate degree at Lahore University of Management Sciences.

I can tutor university students in first year undergraduate electrical engineering courses, introductory calculus course, introductory linear algebra course and MATLAB programming. I got an A grade in Calculus 1, Introductory Circuits Lab and MATLAB programming when I took these course in my undergraduate studies. Even though I did not perform well in Linear Algebra 1, I reviewed the concepts for a graduate course in Linear Systems. Hence, I have a firm grasp of fundamentals of linear algebra.

I can tutor secondary school students in mathematics. I got a percentile score of 96 in Mathematics and 95 in Additional Mathematics in GCE Ordinary Level, and a percentile score of 83 in Mathematics in GCE Advanced Level; GCE Ordinary Level and GCE Advanced Level are equivalent to grade 10 and grade 12 respectively in the British Education System. Apart from this, I have taken courses in mathematics during my undergraduate studies and learned mathematical concepts in undergraduate and graduate electrical engineering courses.

Tutoring Experience:

I worked as a teacher assistant for an introductory circuits lab course during my undergraduate studies. My responsibilities included assisting students in understanding concepts and troubleshooting circuits; I also supervised a few student projects.

Tutoring Approach:

Before a tutoring session, I ask the student about his/her tutoring needs and level of proficiency in the subject. Based on this information, I try to teach the concepts in a manner that makes them easy to understand for the student. Then, I test the student’s grasp of these concepts through practise questions.
