Personal Description:

I am passionate about helping other people, and having the opportunity to do so is something I am grateful for. I know that teaching somebody how to solve problems is always more beneficial to them than solving the problems for them. As a math tutor, I provide students with the tools and skills that will help them now and in the future.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and I went on to earn my master's degree in Control Systems Engineering. I've spent the past year being a Teaching Assistant and love doing this job. I clear up concepts for undergraduate students in subjects like Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statics for Engineers.

Tutoring Approach:

While coming to a thorough understanding of a concept is far more useful than just completing examples, I know that repetition is how students learn math. When I first meet with my student, I like to find out what specifically they are having trouble with so I can show them the thought process I use to solve the same types of problems.
