Personal Description:
I'm going into my last year at McGill studying Neuroscience. I have always loved learning and problem solving and am excited to be able to help others develop strategies to unlock their potential.
Outside of studying, I love music, traveling and baking (which I've been doing a lot of during quarantine!)
Tutoring Experience:
In high school, I tutored students in middle and lower school in maths and science. My mum is a teacher so I often volunteered at her schools, both in group classroom settings and in individual one on one services. In college, I've held several study groups in preparation for exams.
Tutoring Approach:
Rather than teach how to do specific problems, I think it's important to create skills that can be applied in many situations. I want to teach students how to approach and define the problem, so they can evaluate the appropriate method to take. Practice is key, as is making mistakes, so I would expect the student to participate and discuss, rather than just listen.
