Information About Hailey
Oshawa tutorPersonal Description:
Hello! My name is Hailey , I am a third year psychology student at the University of Ottawa and am a varsity soccer player for the university as well. I love learning and gaining more knowledge about the world, I love psychology because I can implement many things I learn into daily life. I love finding creative ways to pass the time such as baking, reading, playing sports, or by spending time with loved ones.
Tutoring Experience:
In high school I was a part of a program where I worked with special needs children. I helped them with their daily schedules, created new activities for them, and helped them throughout their day. Last summer I was a youth soccer coach where I taught girls ages 5-8, and boys and girls 10-11. I ran drills, created drills, taught new skills, did first air and was responsible for administration and conflict resolution between parents and kids.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is to be patient and understanding. Learning is not always easy and takes effort and I believe a good tutor is patient and encouraging in order to be successful. Learning also can be a lot of fun, I would love to incorporate new and fun ways to learn concepts. I also believe everyone learns at a different pace, I believe when learning is specialized to the individual allows for the most success possible. It is also important for the environment to be a safe one, it is okay for the individual to make mistakes, as that is how we learn and improve.
