Personal Description:

I am Orton Gillingham trained dyslexia tutor. I work with children with reading disabilities and provide reading intervention.
I feel that reading is an important skill that will impact the students learning in all other areas. From my experience, working with students is seeing the results in reading as well as seeing their self confidence and self esteem grow as well. Parents report a difference in the attitude towards learning and school their children show. They perform better in other areas at school as well.

Tutoring Experience:

I am working with children with dyslexia for the past 4 years using the Orton Gillingham method. It is a systematic, individualized, incremental approach to reading. Prior to that I was a Montessori teacher for the past 20 years with a strong background in phonics and grammar.

Tutoring Approach:

I provide one on one tutoring for students with reading disabilites.
I offer a complimentary informal assessment to discern what issues, if any, your child may have. Thereafter, I prepare a tailor made learning experience for your child.
I minimal of two sessions a week are recommended. Some children may need more sesions per week depending on their circumstances.
