Personal Description:

Hello! I'm Fio, a first year student at University of Toronto. I have a great passion for reading and writing fantasy and sci-fi stories, formulating essays about philosophical ideas, or just arguing the character dynamics in films and books. I am apologetically in love with literature and creative writing, and I am willing to share my experience with others.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 4 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, and consulting with students regarding English classes and work.I also have over 4 years of experience in creative writing and editing. I am experienced in argumentative, academic, and response essays. Since I'm based in Ontario, I provide tutoring and prep for OSSLT as well.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is very interactive. I have an in depth understanding of the Ontario English curriculum for grades 9-12. I can provide resources for each class depending on the needs of the students. I can take complex ideas, prompts, and subjects, break them down to manageable and digestible chunks, and then build it back up with the student. I like to be able to have an open train of dialogue in which both the student and I can present our ideas as we work together to form a whole one. I approach tutoring with patience and an open mind, as much of literature and writing is up to the interpretation of both the reader and the writer.
