Mathematical Sciences (M.Sc) Graduate with University Teaching Experience

Tutoring Experience:

I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Scienced specializing in Abstract Algebra. Mathematical derivations and deductions are areas I am very comfortable with. So, I decided to take my passion a level further and pursued a Master degree in Mathematical Sciences specializing in Statistics. I was employed by Laurier as an Instructional Assistant tutoring 1st year and 2nd-year undergraduate students. The job entailed me explaining them the theories, helping with their in-class assignments and grading those assignments. I also have experience in tutoring middle school and high school students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe the best way to learn is through practice. My idea is to explain complicated concepts through examples. I teach based on the student's educational needs and demands. I teach mathematical theories using practical industry examples from the real world so that students can appreciate what they are learning. I am comfortable teaching algebra, calculus, statistics, differential equations, trigonometry.
