Personal Description:

Hello there, my name is Farida . I am an enthusiastic individual who has a passion to help children reach new heights in studying and achieving academic goals. I have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters degree in Sustainable Energy.

My past experiences as an after school tutor made me enjoy the ability to connect with my students and know I am making a difference in building their academic confidence and prowess. Some skills that enabled me make a difference in my students lives' include excellent communication skills, great listening skills, patience while dealing with students coupled with problem solving and analytical skills

In the past I have been commended by parents for helping to improve the academic prowess of their kids constantly while making sure they are taught in a fun and vibrant environment

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience tutoring Grade 1- 12 Students in English and Math skills. Some of my experiences include:

- Developing academic strategies to improve student understanding of concepts to enhance retention

- Creating practice tests and review worksheets for final exam preparation

- Building custom made lesson plans that include exercises and assignments in evaluating students progress

- Communicating with parents about the progress of each student and made recommendations as required at the end of each month

- Integrating innovative technology through smart devices such as Ipad's to enhance learning experiences for the students

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring involves identifying each students unique needs and adapting tutoring material and delivery style to meet their needs.

I also aim to make sure students understand the basic concepts in a way that fosters retention and understanding. Based on each students way of learning, I adapt new ways to introduce abstract concepts in a fun way that enhances learning

I also relate with students in a way that builds their confidence and overall perception of education
