Personal Description:
My name is Farah. I am currently a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences and am also a teaching assistant for undergrad and master's level students.
Previously, I have also completed a BA in Psychology from McGill Univeristy & MSc in Public Health from the University of Montreal (Université de Montréal).
As a researcher, I have published in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. I also have experience as thesis co-supervisor for master's level students and as a reviewer for scientific journals.

- Scientific writing (thesis/dissertation/essay writing/manuscripts and other scientific articles)
- Development and optimisation of search strings with key words and MeSH terms using key databases (PubMed/Medline, Embase, Cinahl, Cochrane, CENTRAL, Web of Science, grey lierature, etc)
- Literature reviews, systematic reviews & scoping reviews
- Writing and registration of protocols into appropriate database (PROSPERO, Open Science Framework, etc)
- Preparation of manuscripts using appropriate checklists (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, PTISMA-ScR AMSTAR, MINORS, etc),

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching strategy varies according to the student’s individual needs. Generally, I like to keep an active environment where students feel comfortable to ask their questions and participate in discussions. After each session, extensive notes and follow-up materials are shared with students for future review.
