Personal Description:

I work with students of all ages and levels as a French tutor. This includes the core courses of French 1-4 as well as conversational French and honors courses such as AP French Language and Culture. I enjoy working with students and helping them learn a new language and gain confidence in their linguistic abilities.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in French and international relations. During my studies, I was a Resident Advisor and I tutored other college students in French and other subjects. After graduation, I spent a year teaching English in France and two summers as a residential educator.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important to begin by building a strong foundation. This includes the fundamentals of the language such as pronunciation and the core concepts upon which the grammatical structure is built. These are often the root cause of any language learning difficulties but specific sessions would, of course, be based on the needs of the student.
