Personal Description:

I believe in the power of small-group and 1-on-1 learning because I have seen how productive they can be for myself. I am comfortable teaching a broad range of topics, including helping students study for college entrance tests like the SAT and ACT and acting as a general writing tutor.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels, so I know how to help students at different stages of their student lives. I was also the instructor for a writing-intensive Intro to American Government course and a TA for Survey Research Methods, giving me firsthand experience teaching writing and essay editing that I can apply as an English tutor. I have a master's degree in Education.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to use analogies to help illustrate key concepts for students. It's even better if I can relate the material we're studying to one of my student's interests outside of the classroom!
