Personal Description:
I truly believe that learning is fun and that it will provide benefits to my students for their entire future. I encourage the same attitude in the students I tutor. I make a great chemistry tutor because I am excellent at communication and have the ability to see where in the material my students have failed to make critical connections.
Tutoring Experience:
I have earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am available as a chemistry tutor to work with students at the high school and college levels. I can tutor students who are taking IB Chemistry HL or SL or AP Chemistry and I can help students prepare for the SAT Subject Test in Chemistry.
Tutoring Approach:
When I first meet with a new chemistry student, I start by looking over some of their previous classwork or a standardized test. This helps me get down to the root of whatever the student is not understanding. I encourage engagement with chemistry for its own sake and I believe that motivation follows action, not the other way around.
