Personal Description:

My name is Ethan, and I am a first-year computer science major. I love math and science and love to teach. My mother is a childcare worker, and my father is a minister. I am very passionate about mathematics and computer science; I believe everybody should learn computer science at one point in their life. The critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills required to be a skilled computer scientist will carry over many aspects of life.

Tutoring Experience:

I am new to online tutoring. I have limited experience teaching religious material in a classroom setting to pre-primary aged children during volunteer work.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that practice is key, as well as interactive examples and critical feedback. My worst experiences as a student were with teachers that gave little to no feedback on mistakes. Failure is the only way to learn, and a positive approach to failure is an essential component to becoming a better student. Practice is essential for learning, as simply reading material will result in limited practical understanding.
