Personal Description:

I am truly excited about the opportunity to be your next biology tutor! I work with high school and college students and also offer test support for exams such as the ACT Science. I am both kind and patient. These qualities foster a friendly working environment for students so they feel comfortable enough to reach their full academic potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in biology and my graduate degree in biological sciences with a focus on conservation and ecology. As a graduate student, I taught for five semesters in the biology lab. As an undergraduate student, I served as a teaching assistant where I helped answer student questions and coordinate lab activities. I have additionally spent time as an assistant high school cross country ski coach and elementary school tutor.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe the most effective instruction is created by matching the teaching style to the learning style of the student.
