Personal Description:

It's very gratifying to me to engage students as I help them achieve their academic goals. I have a great attitude, excellent communication skills (including listening), and I'm very organized. In my opinion, setting a comfortable, positive learning environment that allows the student to ask any questions they may have help facilitate thorough learning.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics in 2009. I tutored undergraduate students in Physics while I was earning my degree and afterward, I tutored high school students for three years. I'm available as a physics tutor to high school and college students.

Tutoring Approach:

As a physics tutor, I put an emphasis on helping my students practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills. That's because if they only memorize facts, it's easy to forget, but true understanding lasts a lifetime. I start out the first session with a new student with an ice breaker and by getting to know their interests and their goals in physics.
