Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Emma and I'm excited about the opportunity to be your chemistry tutor. I'm qualified to help students with a variety of STEM subjects, including solving chemical equations, understanding how cells functions, solving for "x" in math problems, studying human anatomy, and more. I look forward to helping you pursue your goals!
Tutoring Experience:
My previous tutoring experience includes working as a tutor in a university Psychology department, peer tutoring within the Exercise Biology department, and a variety of peer-to-peer tutoring roles. I also refined my essay editing skills as an Undergraduate Admission Advisor and developed my public speaking abilities as a Campus Tour Guide. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology and a minor in Psychology.
Tutoring Approach:
I understand that subjects like chemistry can feel useless because I've been there. However, studying all of the sciences with expert support helped me develop an appreciation for the value they offer, and I'm eager to share the study skills I've developed to help YOU learn.
