Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Elvin and I have learned to teach in the University of Windsor as a research student in Communication Engineering! I have met some really amazing boys and girls and have had a great experience teaching them math, and physics study subjects while having my GA assignment with them. I enjoy teaching and making subjects fun and memorable.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught within school and experience for about 7 years.

Tutoring Approach:

Firstly, it is best to try and get to know the child best: what they like and how they like to learn. Secondly, I like to utilize the setting and the resources available to us for concise instruction. To my perception, learning can be more effective when it is active, engaging and hands on. Then, I believe in securing that knowledge by having a writing activity, or a piece that can be annotated so that the child has written next steps that their parents are able to see and go over with them. It is an insurance of mine that by the end of each session, the child's success and next steps are fully communicated to the parents. Depending on parental involvement, actions are offered in regards to either the parents continuing work outside of school and tutor sessions, or resources are suggested for the child to continue their own practice.
