Personal Description:
My name is Elorah, and I'm a 16 year old honors student and musician with a passion for teaching. I care deeply about academics and I love working with kids, so tutoring is one of the things I enjoy most. I have experience with both teaching and babysitting, as well as with numerous child, leadership, and teaching related volunteer opportunities.
I have also taken music lessons for many years, and am a vocals major at my high school as well as an independent musician/composer. I play the piano, sing, play the ukulele, a bit of guitar, and am proficient in music theory up to grade 4RCM piano and grade 5RCM vocals.
I have always had a passion for helping people, and especially children. I love to see kids learn and grow while knowing that I helped them reach their full potential. It’s amazing to see how much positive change you can bring to the world simply by helping a handful of students. Not only am I extremely qualified for a teenage tutor, but I enjoy what I do.

Tutoring Approach:
I always let the student lead the way when it comes to teaching methods. As a 'gifted' student myself, I know that different children have different ways of absorbing information, so I like to experiment with different learning styles to see which works best with the specific child. I like to make tutoring fun and interactive, and I make sure that the student is always engaged and able to take brakes when necessary.
My hope is to give all students the opportunity to learn to their best ability, whether that means turning work into an interesting activity, trying a new way of getting information across, or working with the student to create a plan tailored to their personal strengths and abilities.
