Personal Description:

Hi there! I am a friendly, outgoing, and approachable person. I am a geologist by training, and love rocks and being outside looking at them. I really enjoy working with students, and helping them grow in all facets along their educational path. Learning is such a personal journey of accomplishment, with some frustration thrown in, and it is an honour to me to help students along this journey.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught in adult education for 5 years now in a range of subjects: geology, math, chemistry, biology, and history. I have been a tutor for over 20 years, primarily to high-school aged students.

Tutoring Approach:

I really enjoy tutoring, and the satisfaction that comes from seeing a learner grasp a concept… the lightbulb turning on if you will. I try to make tutoring fun and engaging, and think that encouraging a student to have confidence in their own potential is one of the most important facets to learning.
