Personal Description:
I am in the final year of my PhD in Nursing and am passionate about research methods and statistics.
Tutoring Experience:
I’ve been a tutor for the last 10 years working both with high school and university students. In recent years I’ve had a lot of experience tutoring and mentoring Graduate students in Nursing and other health care fields. I have frequently helped ESL students improve their writing so the strength of their ideas and arguments can be seen.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that everyone learns differently, and it is a tutor’s job to change the way that they present the information until the student understands it. I use real world examples whenever possible and like to connect my students with the resources that are available around them. I believe that good habits in organization and study skills can make all the difference in learning, so I’m willing to spend time on these basics before moving forward.
