Personal Description:

I am an excellent Latin tutor because I am typically able to improve a student's grade average in their class. I have been teaching Latin for more than 30 years, so I have an understanding of all types of students and learning styles. I enjoy being able to adjust my tutoring methods to match each student's learning needs.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. I have taught Latin in a classroom setting to middle and high school students for 30 years. Now my focus is on one-on-one tutoring. I can tutor Latin at all levels including basic grammar and syntax and more advanced translation.

Tutoring Approach:

In my first meeting with a student, I will start by creating an open and comfortable rapport with the student. To help them become more independent in their learning, I will give them time to answer a question before I provide the answer myself. I encourage my students to t think out loud so I can hear their thought process as they come to their answers.
