Personal Description:

I am currently earning a doctorate in history specializing in the history of epidemics and funeral rites in North Africa and the Middle East. I am a biology tutor who adapts her teaching style to meet the needs of each student. I strive to make learning fun and accessible for my students while ensuring they have the necessary core skills.

Tutoring Experience:

In addition to working on my doctorate, I have a bachelor's degree in biology. I also have an M.P.H. in Sociomedical Sciences. Before I began my graduate work, I worked as a research assistant in an immunology and genetics laboratory, participated in a volunteer opportunity, and conducted public health interviews.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a very student-oriented approach to tutoring. I ask each student what they want out of our sessions and how they envisioned tutoring to be. I also like to use real-world examples that the student can relate to, helping to cement the topics in their minds.
