Personal Description:
I'm an undergraduate chemical engineering student at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy learning and tutoring math, physics, and chemistry. I have As in all introductory university courses in math/physics/chemistry, including calculus, organic chemistry, and electromagnetism. I am familiar with various high school contests, SAT, SAT subject tests. I graduated IB program with 38/45 with 7 in Math HL, 7 in Physics SL, 6 in Chemistry HL, B in ToK and A in EE.
Tutoring Experience:
I have 2 years on-campus and 5 years online tutoring experience on Khan Academy and IBSurvival.com.
Tutoring Approach:
After identifying the student's particular weaknesses and goals, I formulate a study plan that targets the specific needs. I include many helpful visuals and analogies to help explain concepts and problems. I help the student understand how the material to previous grasped material to see the big picture.
Prior to each session, either the student or myself will create a plan of problems or concepts to the discussed. During the session, I engage with the student using clear explanations for comprehensive understanding. At the end of the session, a few practice problems will be assigned (or emailed to the student the next day) to be briefly discussed at the next session. Meetings will be over skype/google hangouts and **Web Address Removed** Screenshare options are available.
