Personal Description:
Well, I was born in India but moved to Canada in 2017 to complete my Higher education. I was initially got admission to Fraser International College but in 2018 due to excellent academic performance, I was one of the few students from that college who transferred to Simon Fraser University. My interests outside of schools are hanging out with friends, playing Cricket and working out. The students would enjoy the fact that I am a very committed person and I always give my 100% to any work that I do and also live every moment to its fullest.
Tutoring Experience:
I used to teach younger students specifically first and second-year students at SFU who were struggling with their courses and charged decent fees for it. I even served as a peer tutor for Computing Science and Mathematics at Fraser International College (FIC) and helped students who were struggling to perform well in their exams or were unable to complete their assignments and projects. Though I didn't charge much from these students the kinds of applause from the students gave me immense satisfaction and desire to teach many more students. So I guess tutoring is an area that comes naturally to me since I have always been so passionate about teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
I have always enjoyed all the Computing and Mathematics Courses I have done so far. I have so far learned so many things that I would have never learned had I not taken Data Science as a major. I have learned how to make a web application using HTML, CSS, Javascript and NodeJS. I have learned many Computing languages along the way like C++, C, Python, R, and Ruby. I have always felt Computing Science is less about learning but more about just enjoying our technological advances our society has made over the years. I am a 3rd year Simon Fraser University student. My major is Data Science and I often gave in-person tutoring to first and second-year students who were struggling with Computing Science courses on Python, C++, C or Data Structures. Since my first year I have been tutoring other students who were struggling with CS and Maths courses, and many times I have seen students coming up to me, thanking me that because of the tutoring I provided they were able to pass their courses. Though I didn't charge much from these students the kinds of applause from the students gave me immense satisfaction and desire to teach many more students. The strategy that I used to teach studenty was to give them more examples associated with any concept which helps students gain more clarity and understanding.
