Personal Description:

I enjoy teaching students in a variety of areas, though my expertise is in math. I aim to be an effective instructor, whether my student needs me to show them step-by-step how to solve elementary-level math problems or they could use support in developmental algebra topics. I believe in the value of communication and encourage an open dialogue.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated with a Ph.D. in Astrophysics in 2015. I also earned my master's degree in the same field. I earned degrees in Physics, Russian, and Astronomy as well. I have over five years of experience as a math tutor, as well as providing instruction in science and standardized test prep.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that private instructors and teachers should strive to engage their students in an effective way. By getting to know my students 1-on-1, I can get to know their goals, weaknesses, and strengths. I can provide demonstrations on problems, as well as assist students in building a strong understanding of the basics.
