Personal Description:
I am passionate about teaching and have over 15 years of tutoring experience. I am patient and listen to the concerns of students and assist them to reach their academic goals. I believe in humanistic teaching because when the thinking process of students is connected to their feelings then the knowledge that they acquire will be more meaningful and relevant to their world.
Tutoring Experience:
I have tutored in the subjects of English Literature, and History (European, American and Canadian). As well, I have taught Essay Writing with English Grammar in the different essay structures, such as Persuasive, Narrative, Expository and Argumentative.
I have over 15 years of tutoring experience.
Tutoring Approach:
Every student has different needs and I assess their academic strength. In other words, my lesson plans are geared to each individual student.
I find that students have a better understanding of each lesson when the class is 2 hours in length. Only an hour is Not enough time for the students to process the concepts that are presented to them. In other words, knowledge is acquired through reflection.
