Personal Description:

My name is Denis and I am originally from Brazil. I moved to Canada in 1999 to attend Brandon University. In 2005 I earned a degree in General Studies with emphasis in Mathematics and Chemistry. In 2007 I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Education also from Brandon University.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching high school for 13 years. I started in 2007 in a rural school division and stayed at this school for 7 years. While at this school I was teaching grades 9, 10 and 11 Mathematics, Science, Chemistry and EAL/ESL.
In 2014 I made the move to the big city where I currently work at a private school (Catholic School). My workload is full-time, teaching students from grades 9-11 in Mathematics, Science, Religious studies and Choir. Yes Choir, my second passion!

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring happens everyday in my current job. I am required to have office hours everyday before or after school. I like to work one-on-one with students and teach them how to best approach a certain topic. Also, I make sure to teach my students certain study skills and organization skills.
