Personal Description:
I am able to provide personalized instruction to students at a variety of skill levels. I work as a chemistry tutor because I enjoy the experience of interacting with students and helping them learn. As a chemistry tutor, I can focus on the material that is most important for a student without having to accommodate the needs of other learners. My background in math and science gives me a wide knowledge base that I can use to provide high-quality instruction.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and also earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. I worked as Teaching Assistant for over six years while in graduate school, and I can help students prepare for the SAT Subject Test in Chemistry.
Tutoring Approach:
I focus on the core skills and concepts that a student needs to know. Rather than just getting the right answer, I want to students to understand how they got the right answer and how to apply those skills to other problems.
